Team Expands to Better Serve Local Ag Sector
October 11, 2018
Worrell Land Services is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to our roster of land professionals. These new teammates are the latest, and likely last, in a series of recent strategic selections, driven by a desire to meet the growing needs of underserved areas within the local agricultural land sector.
Adam Bauer – Real Estate Broker
Adam Bauer joined our team to help us better serve the land real estate needs of our Northwestern region. A Schuyler-county native with farming and hunting in his blood, Adam knows the Schuyler, Brown, Fulton, Cass and McDonough County land markets particularly well. As a Broker specializing in land real estate, Adam combines his passion for land and the great outdoors with his professional experiences to help land buyers and sellers achieve their goals.
Adam earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and Management from Western Illinois University. He was raised on a Central Illinois farm, working alongside his family to this day raising corn, soybeans and livestock. Adam worked in the grain industry for seven years in various positions from Grain Originator to Location Manager prior to starting his current business endeavor, My Farm Business, LLC, in January 2018 with Bill Pherigo. My Farm Business, LLC works with Central Illinois farmers on growth model strategies, land and business acquisitions, debt management strategies, and crop insurance. Most recently, Adam was selected for the prestigious Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program, a 19-month, dynamic development program that focuses on building the skills, knowledge and character of leaders within the Illinois agriculture sector. He lives in Table Grove with his wife.
Bill Pherigo – Appraiser Trainee
Knowing the need for high-caliber land appraisals will exist long into the future, we’re planning ahead so we can continue to meet the region’s appraisal needs for years to come. Bill is participating in a grueling multi-year education and training program under our appraiser veteran, Allan Worrell (the best of the best!). The ultimate goal is for Bill to earn the State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license which will, upon completion of the program, allow him to conduct land appraisals throughout the state.
Bill is smart as a whip with numbers, knows the business side of agriculture better than most, and more importantly, is a high-integrity guy. We’re thrilled to have him as part of our team!
Bill holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Supply Chain Management from Western Illinois University. Prior to starting My Farm Business, LLC, he had achieved upward mobility to the position of Executive Vice President of Commercial and Ag Business Lending for a West Central Illinois bank. Bill lives in Mt. Sterling with his wife and two daughters.
*Bill is on pace to receive the official state designation as Appraiser Trainee in the fall of 2018.
