Informational Meeting! Farmland Assessment Values, Big Changes for 2016 Taxes

March 1, 2016

As a result of a recent legislative change, the 2015 assessed values for all cropland soils increased at a rate that is either higher or lower than the anticipated 10% change from last year’s values. The amount of change will depend on the soil type. Poorer soils saw a higher than 10% increase while better producing soils saw an increase that was less than the expected 10% change from the preceding year’s value.

Join Brenda Matherly, Illinois Farm Bureau Assistant Director of Local Government, the Cass and Morgan County Assessors, Worrell Land Services, LLC and the Cass-Morgan Farm Bureau for an informational meeting designed to explain the change in the Farmland Assessment Law and the impact it will have.
